Hospice Sunflower Days is a national fundraiser in Ireland for voluntary hospice and specialist palliative home care services.
Hospice Sunflower Days 2019 will take place on June 7th & 8th. Over the two days, volunteers will be selling Sunflower Days products and taking donations in villages, towns and cities across the country. As always, every euro that is raised locally, stays locally.
The aim of Hospice Sunflower Days is to raise the much needed funds to provide our vital services; person centred, holistic and loving care to our patients and their loved ones. The use of funds that are raised varies and depends on the greatest needs of your local service.Hospice care (or Palliative Care) is about helping people of all ages to live well with an illness which is life-limiting and supporting them to achieve the best quality of life possible. It is about treating every patient with dignity and respect as palliative care puts the individual at the centre of every decision, helping them to plan for their future and enabling them to make choices. It is also about providing vital support for their relatives and loved ones.
